In early May I was honored to host a celebration of the upcoming marriage of my sister, Jessica and her then fiancé, Gabe. Since she was having a June destination wedding, we decided it would be really special to have family over to shower them with a little summer blush and blue bridal shower here in Dallas, Texas. This would allow family to bring wedding gifts to the happy couple without worrying about how the gifts would have to be brought back home after the Florida wedding.
The color scheme for her wedding was blush and navy, with touches of gold and beautiful eucalyptus clippings throughout all the details. I will share a few fun personal photos from the shower and wedding at the end of the post.
My goal for the wedding shower was to stick with what I already had on hand here at the house and just add lots of fresh flowers and a few simple details. My sister loves an elegant Cape Cod style and since her wedding was at the beach, I wanted to incorporate that into the tablescapes at her shower without having an over-the-top “seashell theme.” I added white sand (you can find some here) to the bottom of a few cylinder vases (you can find them here) and tucked a candlestick in each one for a bit of subtle ambiance in the evening.
Since we had twelve guests and my dining room table was not spacious enough for twelve, I decided to split the group into two tables. I added a folding table covered in a white linen tablecloth to our entryway and set the table to match our dining room tablescape. They are not exact tablescapes, but very similar. Can you spot the differences?
Handwritten placecards, white linens from Tuesday Morning, candles, and fresh flowers from the grocery store throughout our home helped everything look and feel a lot fancier than it really was! 😉
Here are a few personal shots from the shower. Hope you enjoy!

The whole evening was so lovely from start to finish, and it was truly the loving guests in attendance that made this summertime blush and blue bridal shower a huge success. I am already thinking of a fun new fall tablescape and cannot wait to set it up and share with y’all closer to time. (You can check out last year’s fall tablescape here.) As always, thank you for taking the time to read along. My hope is to inspire, tell a story, lend a helpful hand in your home decor decisions, and bring glory to God in all that I do.
